Hygiena’s test delivers same-day total viable count (TVC) test results, giving you the advantage of knowing microbial levels on the same day samples are collected.

The tool consists of an Incubation Device containing proprietary growth media and a Detection Device containing bioluminogenic reagents in which biomarkers produced by bacteria are measured using a Hygiena luminometer, such as the SystemSURE Plus and the Ensure Touch™.

The test uses a novel bioluminogenic test reaction that generates light when enzymes characteristic of viable bacteria react with substrates to produce light. The light-generating signal is then quantified with a Hygiena™ luminometer. With same-day results, this clever tool’s results enable you to take corrective actions faster or release products sooner.
