What is an ATP Luminometer?
An ATP luminometer is an instrument that measures light produced by the reaction between ATP and a luciferase reagent. The result, in RLU, indicates how much organic residue remains on a surface after cleaning.
What RLU pass level should I set?
The user will set pass and fail limits for each test location. Start by testing each location after effective cleaning to establish a baseline, then set limits against that baseline. Critical surfaces need tighter limits than general surfaces.
Does the SystemSURE Plus need calibrating?
The instrument runs a calibration self-check every time it starts up and needs no scheduled annual service.
What software does it use?
The SystemSURE Plus connects via USB to SureTrend, Hygiena’s data management software. SureTrend handles test plans, trending, and reporting.
